Mrs Sarah Child currently teaches F1. Throughout her teaching career she has taught at a number of different primary schools. Mrs Child prefers to work with the under 7's where she can work closely with parents as well as children to ensure a smooth start to school.
Mrs Baker is a Nursery Nurse in F1 and has been working at Harwell School for several years. Previously she was a Nursery Nurse at Harwell Nursery School for 16 years. Mrs Baker is a Governor at the school.
Mrs Janice King is a Nursery Nurse in F1 and job shares with Mrs Baker. Janice also works in Class 1.
Class1
Mrs Joan Lees teaches Class 1 and joined our staff in September 2008.
Class 2
Miss Antonia Powell teaches Class 2 and has been at our school since 2006. Previously she was teaching in our Foundation Class.
Class 3
Mrs Kath Pearce has worked at our school since 1990 and currently teaches Class 3. She is very involved in maintaining our Eco-School status.
Mrs Jenny Giles job shares with Mrs Pearce in Class 3. She previously taught full time at our school in Class 6. Mrs Giles also works as a tutor at Oxford Brookes University.
Class 4
Mrs Katie Clarke teaches Class 4 and joined our school in September 2008. She runs the school netball team with Miss Morrow. Mrs Clarke is currently raising money for Spinal Cord Injuries by swimming at a local pool. The total distance she will swim will be 22 miles, 1416 lengths equivilant to a cross channel swim. This will end in December 2008.
Class 5
Miss Nic Morrow teaches Class 5 and has worked at our school since 2005. Miss Morrow is our Literacy co-ordinator and runs the school netball team with Mrs Clarke. Currently, Miss Morrow is Harwell School Association, Teacher representative.
Class 6
Mr Sutherland teaches Class 6. He is also the maths and DT co-ordinator and our resident DJ! Mr Sutherland also runs the drama, cricket and racquet clubs.
Headteacher
Mr Cansell is the Headteacher and he has been here since 1999. The thing he likes most about the school is its friendliness, if he could improve something , he would improve the tidiness. Mr Cansell thinks the school provides a happy place of learning.
Mrs Sue Greatbanks recently retired from full time teaching and now works part time as our Special Needs Co-Ordinator.
Mrs Katie Dickens has worked at Harwell School for 6 years. She covers the Non-Contact time for all our teachers. Mrs Dickens is our Language Specialist and International Co-Ordinator.
